Salle de Fers Fencing Club meets regularly on Sunday afternoons from noon until dark, and at other times by appointment, at the home of Head Coach scott chapman, located at 498 High Street in San Luis Obispo, California. We fence outdoors, dry and electric, on a recently renovated 8' by 48' piste (fencing strip) in a beautiful creekside setting.

New class sessions will generally start at the beginning of each month.

The number and type of classes offered will vary depending on the number of people interested and their skill levels. For a class to be held, four people must be willing to commit to it. Separate classes will be held for youth and adults. Participants should wear non-marking athletic shoes and long sports or workout pants, not too baggy, and should bring water and a towel.

Individuals (of any skill level) interested in a private lesson may schedule one in advance. Otherwise, lessons are available on a first come, first served basis at the discretion of the instructeur. Fencers who wish to participate in open fencing must bring their own equipment, or may rent it.

All individuals, fencers and spectators alike, are required to abide by our Articles of Conduct. Fencers taking competitive fencing lessons and instruction are required to supply their own electric fencing equipment. Scoring equipment is provided.
